Installations Perreault provides solutions and after sales support within grain handling and grain storage systems all over Europe. The company specializes in providing complete solutions and takes pride in being experts at what they do. SOBY supplies Installations Perreault with (products) and in this case owner and director at Installation Perrault, Joanes Durquet, shares his views on the cooperation with SOBY.

Good reputation and easy business
Sometime around 2015, Installations Perreault was looking for a company in Europe for providing handling systems for their complete solutions. SOBY was chosen because of an outstanding product with a good reputation. Joanes Durquet explains that when the first order was placed, everything just went smoothly. “SOBY showed initiative, delivery time was according to our agreement, and they were much easier to work with than some of my previous experiences. I decided to use them again, and eventually it wasn’t a choice anymore. I always have the feeling that it’s just easier to do business with them”.

Quick access to data for drawing up proposals
Joanes Durquet explains that his company uses technical data provided by SOBY via an online platform. He puts an emphasis on the fact that drawings and dimensions are always very accurate – a benefit to himself and his employees when drawing up proposals for clients.

“When we propose a solution, it has to work. We need our designer to draw something according to the right dimensions and calculate durability according to facts. This process is easy with SOBY, because they provide us with everything we need for download online. That’s a very nice tool, and it’s precise and fast. This way, we don’t have to spend time asking more questions than necessary”, he explains.

High-quality standard products ensure reliability at a better price
Installations Perreault uses standard products from SOBY. According to Mr Durquet this has to do with the fact that standards have been made standard for a reason. “The more we use standards, the more we can depend on the reliability. Acquiring spare parts and providing service is easier with a high-quality standard product, and it affects the price that the products are not customized. This way I can offer my customers the best solution at a fair price.

Feels safe in a predictable cooperation
When asked how to describe the key value of SOBY, Joanes Durquet says that you don’t have any surprises. “SOBY is dependable, if not even predictable. This means that you feel like there is no risk tied to working with them. You know what will happen and that is very important to me”, Mr Durquet elaborates.

When challenged, we don’t have to wait for response
When met by everyday challenges in the field, Joanes Durquet explains that he can always depend on SOBY to help him find a solution. “If you don’t know how to make an assembly, you send pictures, and they respond right away. It means a lot that we don’t have to wait. We sometimes challenge them for specific parts or delivery terms – they always comply. And maybe most importantly, I don’t have do discuss anything with them. If I ask for something they just deliver - they trust me”.

In November 2022, SOBY launched a new dealer portal featuring a webshop with online purchase of products and spare parts. Joanes Durquet is excited about the initiative and sees it as an opportunity to improve his business.

“It’s a very good idea. For me personally, things like that have to be easy if I’m going to use it. I feel like this will be a great tool for me and my employees. This way we don’t have to depend on office hours to move on with something. We can order late at night or early in the morning and tick that task off on the to-do list. It means we will be able to prepare things very fast and trust that it’s done”.

The right partner for presence on the market
“It’s difficult to predict the future market. But in France, farmers are increasingly more interested in doing their own storage. So it’s a strong forecast that we have to be more present on the market and easier to reach. We need to be more clear on our preparations and specifications, so that i.e. assembly in the field becomes quicker and easier. We have to become more flexible and move even closer to our customers and their needs. I have no doubt that SOBY is the right partner to carry us in that direction”, he concludes.
